Task Order No. 10372.a with Riedesel Engineering for Waltman Lane Waterline Extension Construction ServicesTASK ORDER NO. 10372.a Pursuant to the MASTER AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND RIEDESEL ENGINEERING (ENGINEER) This Task Order is made this 7th day of January, 2014 and entered into by and between the City of Meridian, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Idaho, hereinafter referred to as "City", and accepted by (RIEDESEL ENGINEERING, hereinafter referred to as "Engineer" pursuant to the mutual promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Master Agreement between the above mentioned parties dated December 2, 2013. The Project Name for this Task Order 10372.a is as follows: CITY OF MERIDIAN WALTMAN LANE WATERLINE EXTENSION - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PROJECT UNDERSTANDING The Consultant shall provide professional engineering services related to the construction of approximately 660 LF of new 10" water main, installation of 3 fire hydrants, along Waltman Lane. SCOPE OF WORK Task 1- Administration 1.1 Consultant will provide support for the construction of the water main, record drawings will be submitted after construction has been completed. written communication will be through the City's project management software (e - Builder) which shall include but is not limited to: • Drawings • Requests for Information • General Project Documentation and Communication • Pay Invoices Task Order 10372.a WALTMAN LANE WATERLINE EXTENSION - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES Page 1 of 3 RIEDESEL ENGINEERING Assumptions • Progress meetings will not be required due to short duration of the project. • Progress reports will be submitted monthly through e -Builder. • An estimated three (2) invoices will be submitted to the City. • City will provide access to e -Builder to the Engineer Task 2- Construction Services 2.1. Provide one (1) set of construction stakes for the new water line. It is anticipated that staking will be completed in one visit to the site. Additional staking may be requested by the City and Contractor at an additional fee. 2.2. Attend pre-bid meeting. Consultant to provide at least one (1) representative to attend the pre-bid meeting. Pre-bid meeting is assumed to be two (2) hours, 2.3. Attend pre -construction meeting. Consultant shall provide at least one (1) representative to attend the pre -construction meeting. Pre -construction meeting is assumed to be two (2) hours, 2.4. Answer RFI's from contractor during bidding and construction concerning design. Responses to BFI's shall be submitted to the contractor and the City of Meridian through e -Builder. 2.5. Review and provide written comment on material specifications submitted by contractor. Consultant shall submit written comments to the Contractor and the City of Meridian through e -Builder. 2.6. Prepare record drawings meeting the City of Meridian Acceptance of Record/Electronic Drawings, dated August 26, 2009. Assumptions • Construction services shall be provided through e -Builder platform. • Consultant shall locate fire hydrants, water valves, blow off locations, and other key features horizontally and vertically. Task 3- Property Owner Coordination 3.1. After the City awards the construction contract to the successful bidder, Consultant will, in coordination with the Contractor and City staff, prepare an updated project information letter for distribution to potentially affected property owners. The letter will be mailed to the same properties as the Design phase letter completed previously by the City. Assumptions • An estimated total of up to 30 project information letters will be distributed. • Consultant will provide updated text and coordinate edits, revisions with the City. MS Word version of information will be provided to City staff for posting on City website and mailing. TIME OF COMPLETION and COMPENSATION SCHEDULE The following schedule Is based on a Notice to Proceed (NTP) from the City by January 2014 and resulting in Final Design being completed by May 2014. A NTP issued on a different date will change the schedule accordingly. No compensation will be paid over the Not -to -Exceed amount without prior written approval by the City in the form of a Change Order. The hourly rates for services and direct expenses are per the Master Agreement (by this reference made a part hereof) and will be the basis for any additions and/or deletions in services rendered. Travel and meals are excluded from this Task Order unless explicitly listed In the Scope of Services AND Payment Schedule.
