This Task Order is made this Lday of", 2012 and entered into by and between the City
of Meridian, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Idaho, hereinafter
referred to as "City", and accepted by J -U -B ENGINEERS, hereinafter referred to as
"Engineer' pursuant to the mutual promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Master
Agreement between the above mentioned parties dated December 6, 2011. The Project
Name for this Task Order 10360 is as follows:

UPDATE
PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
The City intends to update their Supplemental Specifications and Drawings to the ISPWC (Standards)
based on the 2012 Edition. Committees or work groups were formed by the City to develop
recommended revisions to the 2010 ISPWC. These revisions have been collated and incorporated into
a working draft of the Supplemental Specifications and Drawings. J -U -B shall assist Public Works staff
in the finalization of the Supplemental Specifications as defined in this scope of services.
In addition, the City construction contract documents will be reviewed and updated to integrate ISPWC
general conditions.
Items to be provided by the City to J -U -B
• Provide on-going review of J -U -B's work and timely considerations of policy issues within a
time acceptable to the CITY and J -U -B.
• Electronic copy of existing Supplemental Specifications and Drawings to the ISPWC and City
front-end documents.
• Warranty surety policy
• Revisions and comments from the City's reviewing committees (water, sewer, reclaimed water)

SCOPE OF WORK
The CONSULTANT (J -U-8) shall assist the Public Works and Purchasing staff in the finalization of the
City's Supplemental Specifications and Drawings and Construction Contract Documents. J -U -B's scope
of services is specifically limited to the following:
Task 1 — Standard Specifications and Construction Contract Document Update
1.1 J -U -B shall review proposed revisions from staff committees for consistency, technical content
and in collaboration with Public Works staff, reconcile discrepancies. This will include
updating the staff comments to the 2012 rather than the 2010 ISPWC and reviewing the City's
proposed extended surety/warranty policy for incorporation.
1.2 J -U -B will perform a cursory review of the City's Standard Drawings for possible discrepancies
with the 2012 ISPWC. Significant revisions are not anticipated from the City's 2010 revisions:
however, found conflicts or clarifications will be denoted by redlining the drawings on
hardcopy. Electronic CADD revisions will not be made.
1.3 J -U -B will provide an independent review of the City's proposed reclaimed water special
provision.
1.4 J -U -B will solicit feedback from product suppliers on the working draft, collate comments and
summarize to the City.
1.5 Prepare a working draft electronic copy from the existing City's word document. Revisions will
be shown in strike -out underline format and include comment inserts as applicable.
1.6 J -U -B will review and advise Purchasing Department staff on conflicts or discrepancies and
duplicative language with the Supplemental Standard Specifications, ISPWC General
Conditions, and the City's existing front-end construction contract documents. J -U -B will
summarize the review and list suggested updates and potential conflicts for the Purchasing
Department and in collaboration with purchasing staff will revise and edit documents and
denote special references unique to the City of Meridian.
1.7 Hold two (2) meetings with Public Works and Purchasing staff to review draft revisions and
obtain City review comments and direction, J -U -B shall incorporate the City's review
comments and finalize the deliverables.
Deliverables:
1. Supplemental Specifications and Drawings: One (1) electronic editable word document file
of Working Draft showing proposed revisions and comments and one(1) hard copy of
standard drawing redlines. One final electronic word document file will be provided upon City
review and acceptance.
2. Front-end Construction Contract: One (1) electronic review comment summary and
editable word document file of the City's Construction Front-end Document showing proposed
revisions and comments. One final electronic word document file will be provided upon City
review and acceptance.

TIME OF COMPLETION and COMPENSATION SCHEDULE
The following schedule is based on a Notice to Proceed (NTP) from the City by the end of May
2012 and resulting in Final Design being completed by within 60 days from the NTP. A NTP
issued on a different date will change the schedule accordingly.

The Not -To -Exceed amount to complete all services listed above for this Task Order No.
10360 is seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00). No compensation will be paid over the Not -to -
Exceed amount without prior written approval by the City in the form of a Change Order. The
hourly rates for services and direct expenses are per the Master Agreement (by this reference
made a part hereof) and will be the basis for any additions and/or deletions in services
rendered. Travel and meals are excluded from this Task Order unless explicitly listed in the
Scope of Services AND Payment Schedule.
