Dear Mr. Parsons:
Enclosed with this letter is an application for the final plat for the above reference project. This
application includes parcel SO436110025 (4.207 acres) and parcel SO436110505 (.497 acres). The final
plat includes 4.704 acres with 27 building lots and three common lots. The development plan is for
single-family detached units. There are no site amenities included.
The final plat is in conformance with the approved preliminary plat in association with AZ14-0004 and
PP14-002. The final plat is in conformance with all requirements and provisions of the UDC and with
acceptable engineering, architectural and surveying practices and local standards. The Development
Agreement for Amberwave Subdivision is recorded under instrument #114039261.
The site is adjacent to two arterials, W. McMillan Rd. to the north and N Meridian Rd. to the east.
There is a 65 foot property setback along McMillan Road due to the Lemp Canal and an Idaho Power
easement. The main access to the subdivision will be from an existing stub, N. Alester Ave. (proposed
as a public street), off of W. Lava Falls Dr. The project does not propose direct access to N Meridian or
W. McMillan Roads.

Report Purpose
The following report addresses the storm drainage systems proposed for the Amberwave Subdivision
located on the Southwest corner of Meridian Road and McMillian Road, in Meridian, Idaho. Calculations
are provided demonstrating that the project proposed suitable drainage systems that complywith current
Ada County Highway District Policies. As described herein, all drainage calculations use spreadsheets
published by ACHD.
Site Description
The proposed development will construct 27 single family residential lots. The site is bounded to the north
by McMillan Rd, to the east by Meridian Rd and to the west and south by phases of the Amber Creeks
subdivision, which is under concurrent development.
Site Drainage Areas
The entire site is contained within a single drainage basin, which discharges all storm water to a single
seepage bed.
Generally, the drainage from the street area will flow into curb and gutter then surface flow to inlets,
which transmit the collected flowvia piping to sand and grease traps fortreatment priorto final discharge
to the seepage bed. The single seepage bed serving the development provides sufficient capacity for the
design -storm as calculated per ACHD policies. Captured stormwater will infiltrate into the natural sub-
soils surrounding the seepage bed.

incorporated in the Appendix.

The final plat application checklist requires a statement certifying that all street elevations are set a
minimum of 3 feet above the highest known ground water.
According to the initial test pit investigations and recent construction activities, the ground water within
this project was not encountered within depth of 3 feet of the existing ground.
Based on the above information, I certify that groundwater would be greater than 36 inches below
finished street centerline elevations throughout the project.
