Issue #4
Lack of a Mid-Mile Collector
Kentucky Way will be used as a Mid-Mile Collector
O Compare Kentucky Way vs Stoddard
O KW = 8 home driveways / Stoddard =None
O KW = 25 mph / Stoddard = 40 mph
O KW = 2 lanes wide / Stoddard = 3 lanes wide
O KW =Park with no buffer / Stoddard = 20'+ buffer for Bear Creek Park
O KW = 5 School Bus stops on Kentucky Way twice a day at Peak Hours
Future Commercial Development
O Proposed Shopping Mall between Amity & Harris St. facing Meridian Road (1/4 mile long)
Proposal:
Plan aMid-Mile Collector Now
O On April 3, 2014 at the ACHD public meeting, we asked that ACHD consider aMid-Mile
Collector be planned using the property to the East or West of KRE. They were
impressed with the idea.
O Kentucky Way is inadequate now as a Residential Collector and should not be left for use
as a Mid-Mile Collector.
O Like Stoddard, we will need a True Mid-Mile Collector in the future as Commercial
Property is developed on Meridian Road. (Meridian/Amity)
O We have the Opportunity now to plan...KRE is surrounded by farm land
Possible Mid-Mile Collector routes

Proposal:
One KRE Neighborhood
O We would like to see Revolution Ridge become part of KRE as originally planned.
O We connected Mr. Conger with the original KRE developer, Mr. Mike Preston and he gave
his permission to use the KRE theme.
O We researched & e-mailed Mr. Conger a list of KRE themed street names.
O Has it been decided?
