Re: AZ-14-002; PP-13-040 -Revolution Ridge Subdivision
Dear Ms. Waters,
We are in receipt of the Staff Report for the above referenced project and have only one request
for consideration.
During our approval of this project at the Ada County Highway District; we received a request to
place the required sidewalk adjacent to Kentucky Way in an alternate location. You will see the
attached exhibit that requests the sidewalk be placed on the East side of Kentucky Way in lieu of
the UDC required sidewalk on the West side (adjacent to project). As you can see by the exhibit
that the proposed location is approximately 750 lineal feet with the UDC required adjacent
sidewalk measuring 470 lineal feet. This request for a waiver to the UDC 11-3A-17 actually is
increasing our sidewalk requirement by 280 LF ($6,200). You will see in the packet that this
waiver request was initiated by the Kentucky Ridge HOA and supported by ACHD as the UDC
requirement for sidewalk on our side of the property would not connect to their existing
neighborhood.
As the Developer, we are acceptable to this additional cost and request the waiver to allow the
sidewalk to be located on the east side of Kentucky Way in lieu of the required sidewalk on the
west side of Kentucky Way.
Please make sure that this waiver request that was initiated by the Kentucky Ridge HOA makes
its way into the packet for the Mayor and City Council. Thank you for your consideration on this
matter, please contact me with any questions at 208-713-2527.
Sincerely,
/ ~/U
