A meeting of the Meridian City Council was called to order at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday,
January 21, 2014, by Mayor Tammy de Weerd.
Members Present: Mayor Tammy de Weerd, Genesis Milam, Joe Borton and Luke
Cavener.
Members Absent: Charlie Rountree and Keith Bird.
Others Present: Bill Nary, Jacy Jones, Bruce Chatterton, Caleb Hood, Warren Stewart,
John McCormick, Tracy Basterrechea, Mark Niemeyer, Robert Simison, Ken Corder,
and Dean Willis.
Item 1: Roll-call Attendance:
Roll call.

De Weerd: Okay. I will go ahead and start this evening's meeting. I would like to first
begin by thanking you all for being here with us. We greatly appreciate having faces out
in the audience. So, thank you. For the record it is Tuesday, January 21St. I will start
with roll call attendance, Madam Clerk.
Item 2: Adoption of the Agenda
De Weerd: Item No. 3 is adoption of the agenda.
Borton: Madam Mayor?
De Weerd: Mr. Borton.
Borton: I move we adopt the agenda.
Cavener: Second.
De Weerd: I have a motion and a second to adopt the agenda as stated. All those in
favor say aye. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION CARRIED: FOUR AYES. TWO ABSENT.
Borton: I move we go into Executive Session per Idaho State Code 67-2345 (1)(c).

De Weerd: A motion and a second to go into Executive Session, roll call vote.
Roll Call Vote: Borton, aye; Milam, aye; Bird, aye; Cavener, aye.

Item 3: Executive Session Per Idaho State Code 67-2345 (1)(c): (c) To
Conduct Deliberations Concerning Labor Negotiations or to Acquire
an Interest in Real Property, Which is Not Owned by a Public Agency
EXECUTIVE SESSION: (5:36 p.m. to 6:08 p.m.)
De Weerd: Okay. I would entertain a motion to come out of Executive Session.
Borton: So moved.
De Weerd: Do we have a second?
Cavener: Second.
De Weerd: We have a motion and a second. All in favor say aye? Any opposed? We
are out of Executive Session.
MOTION CARRIED: FOUR AYES. TWO ABSENT.
De Weerd: I would entertain a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Borton: So moved.
Cavener: Second.
