Justin,
As noted in the draft report that was sent to the City earlier in the month, neighbors in the area have concerns about
traffic, and they notified ACHD prior to an application being transmitted to us for the preliminary plat. As soon as we
were aware of the concerns, we requested that our Traffic Department provide us with updated traffic counts and a
review of the safety concerns. Due to weather, and then school breaks, and then more weather, we were unable to get
the updated traffic counts to provide the City with the most accurate information possible. Due to the location of the
subdivision, I don't anticipate that this information we are waiting to obtain will change the layout of the development,
but we do need the information to respond properly to the City and the neighborhood regarding impacts of this
development on the surrounding area.
Solterra was scheduled on the ACHD regular agenda for January 22"d, but was deferred because we are still waiting for
the traffic counts. We now have the application scheduled for February 5th on the regular agenda and anticipate that
we'll have the necessary information to complete the ACHD report by the end of this week. Due to the neighborhood
concerns regarding traffic, I would recommend that the City defer action until after the ACHD hearing. As always, thanks

Christy,
I got your voicemail related to Solterra Subdivision. I think it would be helpful if you could put something in writing
briefly describing the situation and requesting Council to delay action until the ACHD Commission has acted on this
application (an email would be fine). This gives Meridian staff something to add to the record tonight. Staff will support
your request, but ultimately the Council will decide what they want to do. Thanks! Let me know if you have any
