Subject: Proposed Height for Gramercy Heights Subdivision
Taylor Merrill,
On October 8, 2013, at the neighbor meeting regarding your proposed plans for the remaining 5.59 acres
in Gramercy, the main concern from the group was the height of the homes that were going to be built.
You stated 2 things very clearly to the group 1) it would be included in your application to the City of
Meridian that these homes would be 1 story, and 2) that the several home plans with the very high roof
its tch would not be included in the application or built for that matter because of the cost associated with
that roof pitch.
I have read your application and I see that both of those promises or commitments were not
followed. You know how we felt about this and you assured us this would not be in the application.
You wanted us to support Westpark with this project, and quite frankly, we felt it was a good one, but
your deceit with this matter lends us to believe Westpark may have other plans going forward with this
project, possibly selling it off to Corey Barton to match his current interest land use along the irrigation
canal. This also was expressed as a major concern with this 5.59 acres.
Whether or not that be true, these 2 items, the building height and the amount of floors (stories) are
going to be a topic of discussion from the adjoining neighbors at the P and Z public hearing meeting on
December 5, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Meridian City Hall. The major part of that discussion will be your
promise to the group and how you violated that.
Sincerely,

My husband and I were not at the town meeting due to schedule conflict, however we were in contact with the
developer about our questions before hand. As far as we are concerned as members of Gramercy, building two
story homes is not an issue for us. In fact, we support it. We would be very interested in CBH purchasing these
lots and developing them like the ones we live in... which are two story family homes. I know we have no
control over who develops it, but not all share the opinion of limiting homes to one story.
