Please pass these comments along to P&Z Commission and the other members of your team working on
this proposed development....
Dear Meridian Planning and Zoning,
I have a few concerns about the Linder Springs development. I am not against development of this plot of
land as long as it fits with the design and architecture in the immediate surrounding area. Please consider the
existing neighborhoods as a guide.
My concerns are
1. Renting these units only leads to less stability of the population leading to lack of long term concern for
any improvements, community closeness and appreciation for parks and schools. I would hope that a
mixed 1/3 to 2/3 ratio of owners/renters can be accommodated.
2. Carports in front of the of the living units do not present a quality appearance. It would be much better
and more appropriate for the surrounding architecture to have integrated garages.
3. The developer is trying to decide between a pool or a playground. A pool is much more appealing than a
playground. Not only will it provide for greater opportunities for residents to enjoy outdoors of all ages,
hopefully it would increase the long-term stay of these tenants.
I will be attending the next P&Z meeting to listen to the discussion. Thanks for your consideration...
