Dear Mr. Parsons,
I am writing to you regarding the proposed Linder Springs development: The developer has met
with the neighborhood regazding the proposal which is appreciated. Unfortunately, we have
remaining conflicts in the project. I am not opposed to development in this area but I believe
some improvement to the current proposal should be considered.
My concerns are:
1. Carports in front of the building convey aloes-quality design. I have met the: developer
who has committed to using high-quality materials and design; however the carports ruin
any of the building's aesthetics.
2. The project has been advertised as townhomes; however, they are not going to be platted
and available for ownership. Home ownership ties a family to the community and
promotes investment in the neighborhood.
3. The developer has discussed providing a clubhouse and a children's playground or a
swimming pool. I think that a pool is necessary. Neighbors from surrounding
neighborhoods are already sneaking into Paramount pools, which increase our
community costs and is a liability concern to Paramount.
I would request the Linder Springs townhome project be aanroved with the following
conditions:
1. The building design is reviewed by the Meridian Design Review Committee to ensure
use ofhig-quality materials and integrated garages.
2. At least. half of the units are available for ownership through subdivision platting. If not,
these are apartments and should be rescheduled for hearing so that the neighborhood can
respond to an apartment proposal.
3. A pool is included in the project.
Thank you for your consideration of the neighborhood's concerns.
Sincerely,
G~f /~` ~ ~--.-
