Notification of Sign Code Violation (Ord. 11-14-5.K•)
Dear Idaho Electric Signs,
This letter is to inform you that the sign located at 420 W. Franklin Road, generally located on the
north side of Franklin Road between Meridian Road and Linder Road, is not in conformance with
the approved sign permit. Under City of Meridian Ordinance 11-14-S.K., "Pole support structures
shall always be covered. Covering shall be designed to fully enclose the pole(s). Paint or wraps
shall not be permitted types of covering. Signs shall incorporate design and building materials that
complement the architectural theme of the building for which the sign identifies."
You are hereby requested to modify the sign to comply with the approved sign permit within fifteen
(15) days of receipt of this notice (date of registered mail receipt) or the sign permit shall be
revoked. Any action of permit revocation by the Planning Director may be appealed directly to the
City Council by filing a written notice of such appeal with the Planning Department within ten (10)
days after the revocation of the permit.
Should you have any questions about the above-mentioned ordinance andJor the penalties involved
with failure to comply with the ordinance, please contact either the Code Enforcement Office at the
Meridian Police Department (888-6678) or the Planning and Zoning Department (884-5533), I am
enclosing a copy of the approved sign. Thank you for your cooperation.

9. Verify the following standards that apply to all wall signs:

L-O) If property also has free-standing sign, wall sign shall not exceed 9% of
wall area.
b. Sign is not to exceed the height of the wall face (maximum of 30 ft.)
c. Letterin within the co area shall not exceed a hei ht of 3 ft.
d. Each business in office, commercial or industrial zones with exterior
frontage shall be permitted (1) wall sign, One additional wall sign shall be
