Proposed location of each present and future sign of any type (incidental signs need not be shown). d. Any signs on contiguous, shared-frontage properties within 25-feet of proposed sign(s). e. Verify sign will not be erected ui the same horizontal plane with other signs unless spaced at least 25 ft. apart. (Section 11-14-S.D) 4. If sign is adjacent to residentially zoned lot, verify setbacks are met (based on setbacks of the residential zone) (Section 11-14-S.E) 5. Verify sign is not insight triangle unless at a height of less than 3-feet or greater than 10-feet to the bottom ofthe sign display surface. (Section 11-14-S,F) 6. Verify pole support strictures are covered and that design & buildmg materials of the sign corn lement the architectural theme ofthe building, (Section 11-14-S.K) 7. Verify free-standing signs are set entirely within a landscaped area having at least the same square footage as the background area of the sign. (Section 11-14-S.L) 8, Verify that all free-standing signs (except residential subdivisions) include the street address(es) ofthe subject arcel. (Section 11-14-S.1VI) 9. Verify the following standards that apply to all wall signs: a. Sign shall not exceed 18% of wall area (up to a maximum of 75 sq. ft. ui L-O) If property also has free-standuig sign, wall sign shall not exceed 9% of wall area. b. Sign is not to exceed the height of the wall face (maximum of 30 ft.) c. Lettering within the copy area shall not exceed a height of 3 ft. d. Each busuiess in office, commmercial or industrial zones with exterior frontage shall be permitted (1) wall sign. One additional wall sign shall be permitted per exterior building wall under the conditions below, provided there is no more than one wall sign on each side of building. 1. Sign background area may be borrowed from that allowed on the building wall facing the street; 2. Sign background area is a maximum of 9% of the building wall; 3. Adjoining property is zoned commercial or industrial. e. Direct illumination wall signs are prohibited. f. Animation, flashing lights, reader boards and revolving signs are prohibited. g. Design of the sign, including color scheme, shall be compatible with the wall face. 10. Free-standing signs & wall signs within 300 ft. of I-84 right-of--way shall comply with the following standards: a. Only (1) wall sign oriented to I-~4 is allowed per business or tenant in a building that is occupied by two or more tenants. (Not more than 2 freeway-oriented wall signs allowed on an single building or structure). b. Free standing signs shall not exceed 40 ft. in height. c. Free-standing signs shall be 1 sq, ft, of sign area per linear foot of freeway frontage up to a max. of 150 sq. ft. d. Minimum distance between free-standing signs is 500 ft. e. No residential signs are ermitted. * NOTE: This checklist does not represent all elements of the Sign Ordinance.
