I spoke to Golden West Advertising about the sign and they indicated that they had already heard from P~~ about
not being allowed to illuminate the sign. f was told that they have already turned the sign off by flipping a switch.
He told me that the switch is on the sign and the only way to get to it was with a lift or ladder°. It isn't something
that can be easily changed. I told him that if it was on and causing a problem that I would be back in cantact with
them.
Mope that will work. If not let me know.

Subject: Pizza Hut Sign Permit
Daunt,
The Pizza Hut at Cherry and Linder has installed an illuminated sign that faces the residential
neighborhood along its western boundary.
This is prohibited by the sign code. From the Planning Department standpoint they would appear to have
iwo choices: 1) they can disconnect the wiring such that the sign cannot be illuminated, or 2) they can
take out the existing sign and replace it with anon-illuminated sign. Hopefully one of these options will
work with the Building Code.
It is not sufficient to merely tell them that they cannot turn on the sign. We have already received
complaints from the adjoining properties.
Please keep me apprised of the situation.
