This proposed project is to request from the City of Meridian a rezone of an existing single
family residence zoned R-4 to "Old Town". The current owner of this property has no personal
desire or intention of developing this property at this time. The reason the owner is requesting
this rezone is only to prepare the property for future sale. It is of the owner's opinion, if she can
have the property ready for a potential developer, that she will be able to market the property as
such, which may increase the value of the property. The property can either be sold as residential
or with the new rezone to O -T. She will inform any potential developer that they will need to
contact the City of Meridian's Planning and Building Departments for guidance on developing this

Meridian City Code "11-5A-5 (C) Neighborhood Meetings" requires a meeting between an applicant of a
proposed property and with the land owners located within 300 feet of the proposed property. This
letter is notice of such a meeting to "provide an opportunity for public review of the proposed project".
This meeting will be held prior to formally submitting the "Annexation/Rezone" application to Meridian
City Planning and Zoning for the property situated at 1205 N. Meridian Road. This application for rezone
is to change the existing zone of R-4 (medium low-density residential district) to O -T (Old Town District).
This is not a public hearing; public officials will not be present. If you have any questions regarding the

Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11 -5A -5D, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted. Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued.
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3) days after the end of the public hearing for
which the sign(s) had been posted.
