Dear Sonya,
I want to thank you for your patience with me. I know it hasn't been easy educating me regarding all the proceedings. I
did begin this process (annexation) for only one specific reason related to the failure of my home's drain field.
However, through this course, I discovered (1) that it was not a simple matter to connect with city sewer as it would
require significant investment on my part to complete `main line extension and (2), that there was erroneous
documentation at Central District Health regarding the size of my home.
Upon correction of this data with CDHD, I was able to fix the drain field, but due to the significant time and money spent
towards annexation, engineering, etc., I felt that it might be prudent to continue pursuit of annexation with hopes of
recouping some of my loss.
I do appreciate the latitude you gave me, but don't know that it is best to continue. Therefore, I respectfully withdraw
my request for annexation.
Thank you sincerely for all your help and encouragement.
Best regards,
Dexter

Dexter,
You can request continuance to City Council for the July 2"a, 16tnor23ra hearing; Council doesn't meet on the 11tH
Approximately 4 weeks prior to the hearing date you choose you will need to come in and pay re-notice fees in the
amount of $232.35. In the alternative, if you choose not to go forward with your request, you can withdraw the
application at that time. Staff will not support another request for continuation after that date and will recommend
denial of any subsequent requests due to the time period elapsed from the original submittal.
Thanks,
Sonya

The sign is up and I've changed the date each time except this last. What is the new fee for re-notice? Thanks.

Yes, Machelle is correct....it's been about a year and a half since the application was submitted so the
application needs to be renoticed & the site needs to be posted with a public hearing notice sign if it's
going to go forward. Thx!

Hi Dexter,
I think the purpose of the re-noticing fees is due to the fact that the hearing has been continued for so
long that the public is no longer aware of the pending project and therefore, notice to the public needs
to be resubmitted. At the last CC meeting, the decision was to give you, the applicant, time to decide
whether you are moving forward with the project or not and if so, the City needs to provide proper
noticing to the public since it has been so long. Those noticing fees are a cost to the applicant. Does
that make sense? I am copying Sonya on this also and if she has anything to add? Thanks, Machelle

Machelle, Thank you for the reminder. Someone mentioned a fee for hearing in one of the email
messages. What is that for? Can not the fee that 1 have already paid be applied? I've in the past been
able to get a "continuation" status. Thanks, Dexter

Sonya, Thanks. I just read Machelle's inquiry. I will check with Chet, my agent, to see
what he advises and get back to you. I thought there would be more advancement by
now, but it's slow. I'm in Texas at this writing and may have to travel to Alaska sooner
than anticipated. I'll let you know soon. Dexter
