Saguaro Hills Ave. and E. Boulder Bar St. coordinate main size and routing with Public Works." We believe the requirement for a dual connection is not necessary for this proposed mini-storage development and is not required by current Meridian City Policy and / or adopted Ordinance. Further, there is sufficient water and pressure in the water main located in N. Saguaro Hills Avenue to provide for any life /safety considerations. The fire flow information we were provided by the Public Works Department on May 21, 2012, showed the following: • FFR# 775 • Fire Flow at: Water Main • Static Pressure: 54 psi • Flow: 2500 gpm @ 30 psi Perhaps a different type of development (retail or residential vs. mini storage) or type of construction (wood vs. metal) would require a dual connection. However, we do not believe a secondary connection is needed given the fire flow data provided above. We request that the requirement for a dual connection be eliminated and that Condition 2.2 be modified as follows: "Water service to this site shall be via extension of mains in N. Saguaro Hills Ave. .coordinate main size and routing with Public Works. A dual water connection is not required." Please let me know if you have any questions.
