The request concerns reducing the setback from 25 to 10 feet. As one of the five property owners directly to the north of the WH Moore (Centerpointe) property, our neighborhood will be negatively impacted by any reduction in the setback to allow for some 600 plus multi- family units. The setback is a needed barrier between our neighborhood and the planned development, per the original adoption of the setback. Pushing development up against existing neighborhoods needs to be handled in a manner sensitive to the homes and families it impacts. While we respect the right of the WH Moore Company to development the property they own, we also believe it is incumbent upon them to mitigate as much impact as possible. In the end, WH Moore will still turn a profit on the property...and since everything seems to be about money, I guess the question is "how much profit is enough?" Expanding WH Moore's profit margin by approving the reduction in the setback is a disservice to the families living in Jasmine Acres. We respectfully request that you deny the variance. Thank you for your consideration Wally Hedrick 13984 W Jasmine Lane Boise, ID 83713 208-890-9101
