12-884 Appointing Jesse Fay to Arts Commission Youth SeatCITY OF MERIDIAN
BY THE CITY COUNCIL:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING JESSE FAY AS A YOUTH COMMISSIONER TO THE
MERIDIAN ARTS COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 5 establishes the Meridian Arts
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique
perspective and input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to Arts within the
City, and to that end Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(B) states that a youth member may be
appointed to the Meridian Arts Commission;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Jesse Fay to the
Meridian Arts Commission to be in the best interest of the Meridian Arts Commission and the
City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(B), Jesse Fay is hereby
appointed to the Meridian Arts Commission, for a term to expire on August 31, 2013.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
