I just want to clarify, you are lifting the limitation of "only a portion of sculptured and/or bullet cabinets" be allowed

Southern Springs Development
Master Sign Program
Revised September 2007
All exterior signs shall be submitted to the Architectural Review Committee
for written approval prior to submittal for permitting.
2. Business owner shall submit to the committee full color renderings, to scale
indicating the locations, size, layout and design of the proposed sign(s),
including all lettering and/or graphics.
3. Business owner is responsible for all city and government permits relating to
the signs.
4. Wall signs are restricted to size allowances provided in the Meridian City Sign
Ordinance.
5. No signs may be placed perpendicular to the face of the building ore
storefront, without the approval of the committee.
6. The design of all wall signs including style, placement and height of lettering, / ~ I.~~`')
size, color and materials, method of illumination and attachment shall be (~~ ~ -k
~~ /ti-~ subject to committee approval. Wall signs shall consist of illuminated pan 51~ r~ ~ q ~
~,~~channel letters (may be raceway-mounted to match building, as needed); or ~ ~LI / ~
~ non-illuminated individual letters. Each sign MAY include a portion (not to ~ ('
exceed 40% of over-all size) in the form of a sculptured cabinet, bullet cabinet ~ i ~~-j~
2,l a,~ or logo cabinet that is fabricated to match or complement letters. Design of ~ e
wall signs shall be consistent while allowing for creativity and flexibility.
7. All freestanding signs are to conform to the designs approved by the City of
Meridian as per attached specifications. See Exhibits A and B.
8. Three main identification signs are permitted for the development "Exhibit A"
and in addition, each individual pad site or building may provide a monument
sign incorporating design elements of the individual architecture as per the
attached "Exhibit B" example and subject to committee approval.
9. Directional signs are permitted on a limited basis and are subject to approval
by the committee. Developer reserves the right to put traffic, safety and/or
directional signs as needed.
10. No exposed lamps, tubing, animation, flashing or audible signs, conduit or
brackets are permitted without the approval of the committee. All cabinets,
conductors, transformers and other equipment shall be concealed.

11. All signs must be U.L. approved and carry a U.L. label.
12. All signs and their installation shall be in strict compliance with all building
and electrical codes.

Jim Rehburg (Idaho Electric Signs) submitted a Planned Sign Program Application for the Southem
Springs located on the SEC of Overland Road and Meridian Road. This letter outlines my review and
approval notes of the Planned Sign Program.
The number and types of approved signage are as follows:
Center /Commercial Sians
• Three (3) center signs were approved at this time.
Wall Sians
• No wall signs were proposed or approved under this application. Future tenant signs will require
separate sign permits.
• Future proposed w si ns must be~ onsistent with each other in design (i.e. cabinet style, pan-
channel letters, etc. ~~,,,,,,
• In no circumstance t e co din wall sign background area be allowed to exceed 9% of a
single wall face.
Individual Free-standina Signs
• No individual free-standing signs are proposed at this time.
• Future individual free-standing signs will require separate sign permits.
• Future individual free-standing signs must be consistent in design with the approved center signs.
Sian Setbacks
The setback for the free-standing signs shall be minimum one foot from the front property line and five-
foot setback from the side property line.
**All signage must be in compliance with MCC 11-14.
