Special Meeting of the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission of July 25, 2012, was
called to order at 12:00 p.m. by Chairman Scott Freeman.
Present: Chairman Scott Freeman, Commissioner Tom O'Brien (via telephone),
Commissioner Steven Yearsley and Commissioner Joe Marshall and Commissioner
Michael Rohm
Others Present: Machelle Hill, Ted Baird, Scott Steckline, Robert Simison and Terri
Ricks.

Item 2: Adoption of the Agenda.
Motion by Commissioner Yearsley and second by Commissioner Rohm to approve the
agenda.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
Item 3: Action Item
A. Request for a Street Name Change in the CenterCal
Development from E. Town Center Drive to E. Village Drive by
City of Meridian Community Development Department -
Northeast Corner of N. Eagle Road and E. Fairview Avenue:
Terri Ricks of Community Development Department gave report of the street name
change.
Commissioner Marshall expressed concerns about the name change, but felt that due
to the fact that the Police Department and Fire Department were in support of the
change and that it wouldn't cause problems for emergency responses was in support of
the name change.
All other Commissioners were in support of the name change.
Robert Simison spoke in support of the name change.

Motion by Commissioner Marshall and second by Commissioner Yearsley to approve
the street name change.
Four Ayes and Commissioner O'Brien abstained as he could not hear the full testimony
of the subject.
FOUR AYES. ONE ABSTAIN. MOTION CARRIED.
Motion by Commissioner Marshall and second by Commissioner Rohm to adjourn the
meeting.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
MEETING ADJOURNED AT 12:12 P.M.
