BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN APPOINTING HIT FITZGERALD TO SEAT 8 OF THE MERIDIAN
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian Development Corporation has been established by actions of
the City Council of the City of Meridian pursuant to the Idaho State Code as the Redevelopment
Agency for the City of Meridian; and
WHEREAS, that action further established its members and terms of their appointments;
and
WHEREAS, Kit Fitzgerald may be appointed to vacant Seat 8 for a term to expire August
31, 2015;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest of
the citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the appointment of Board Member Kit Fitzgerald to
Seat 8 as recommended by Mayor De Weerd and described herein;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, Kit Fitzgerald shall be appointed to Seat 8 of the Meridian Development
Corporation, which term shall run through August 31, 2015.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval. `1ti~

Kit Fitzgerald - Bio
Kit Fitzgerald is considered by many of her peers someone who consistently leads by example. In her
professional careershe consistently pushes not only herself but those around her to be at their best at
all times. Fitzgerald is a full time Realtor®and Director of Sales for Red Barn Real Estate in Boise, ID. She
helped jump start the company in the Fall of 2007 after a four year stint as the Sales Director at CBH
Homes. She got began her real estate career in January of 2003 selling new construction in one of
Meridian, Idaho's most successful planned communities, Woodbridge.
Prior to real estate, Fitzgerald lived in Washington, D.C. where she worked in sales and marketing for
Marriott International and a small consulting firm called McKinley Marketing. Her clientele consisted of
many large associations such as the National Association of Home Builders, the National Newspaper
Association and the National Retail Association.
She has served on many boards and committees within her profession including President of the
Community Realtors Foundation, Ada County Association of Realtors Board Member, 2010 Vice
President, Idaho Association of Realtors Board Member and a six year stint as the WSU Alumni
Association Director for the Washington, DC chapter. She serves as the 2012 President for the Ada
County Association of Realtors. Fitzgerald's creative marketing techniques have been featured in Realtor
magazine, and she has committed herself to the Green Building Movement; in so much as she is the first
Idaho Realtor Member Instructor the new NAR Green Designation. Kit holds both the Green Designation
and the EcoBroker Designation. She has received many awards including a Distinguished Service Award,
Circle of Excellence, Newcomer of the Year and more.
She has a BA in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Washington State University and a culinary
certificate from L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, MD. In her spare time, Kit loves to cook, entertain
and spend time with her husband of almost 12 years, Ryan, her 5 year old daughter, Maeve and 2 year
old son, Finn.
