Proposed Street Name Change from N. Allyn Ave. to N. Records Ave.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Ada County Sheriff s Dept. 911 Call Center has initiated a request for a street name
change for N. Allyn Ave. due to potential confusion with sound-alike and duplicate
names within the County; S. Allie Ave. (Kuna), N. Allyn Way (Boise). N. Allyn Ave.is
located in the Smitchger, Smitchger North and Una Mas Subdivsions.
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Ada County Street Name Committee (comprised of
representatives of Meridian Land Development, Meridian Fire, ACRD, Ada County
Assessor's Office Land Records, and Ada County Sheriff's Dept. 911 Call Center) that
N. Allyn Ave. be changed to N. Records Ave., a street with which it is directly
aligned.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
No businesses or residents will be affected by the proposed name change. Three
commercial lots are addressed off N. Allyn Ave. The new Les Schwab Tire Center
presently has an Allyn Ave. address, but has requested an E. Ustick Rd. address, which
we plan to approve. The other two lots have no structures. The Meridian Police
Department strongly supports this change for street name consistency reasons. The
Meridian Fire Department has no opposition to the change.
