The building is a total of 21,750 square feet which includes a 20,000 square foot gymnastics training facility, and 1,750 square feet of administrative, dance, and meeting space. There was a building permit application submitted and approved for this project in 2008, but several circumstances halted the project. It is now ready for re-submittal, and construction pending approval. The building itself is apre-engineered steel building structure enclosed bystucco-finish insulated wall panels (Surrey Beige). The design includes wall relief at the column lines with patter variations, hanging canopies at each entrance, metal roof (Colonial Red), and a 44" masonry wainscot around the perimeter of the building. The earth-tone colors of the building will fit in well with the proposed landscaping which includes new grass, walk paths, trees, shrubbery, and a designated spot for bicycle parking. Danik Gymnastics is working closely with the neighborhood association to ensure that the proposed building is an asset to its surroundings.
