Applicant Response to Staff ReportMachelle Hill From: Don Shiveley [don_shiveley@msn.com] Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 2:34 PM To: Bill Parsons; Bill Nary; Ted Baird; Jacy Jones; Jaycee Holman; Machelle Hill Cc: Peter Friedman; Bruce Chatterton Subject: RE: Sawtooth Wireless Communication Facilty Staff report for 07/19/12 P/Z MTG Bill, AT&T would like to address paragraph 1.1 of the Conditions of Approval section. AT&T's experience with school districts has been that any requirements for additional landscaping has been discouraged by the school districts for reasons of security and maintenance. On this application, the school and its users will be the only ones that will see the base of the communication site and it is believed that eliminating the landscape buffer zone will not pose a burden on the public. Therefore, AT&T would like to request that language is introduced either through a "variance or alternative compliance" in the conditions of approval that allows the school district to decide what if anything they would like placed around the perimeter of the communication site. Outside of this issue, AT&T accepts the staff report how it is written.
