ITD has the following comments: 1) ITD has no objection to the requested development agreement modification and final plat modification and requires no mitigation. The project does not generate any more trips than the original application and the project does not require any access to the state highway system. In July of 2005 the ACHD Commission acted on a the preliminary plat application for Hollybrook Subdivision. As part of that action it was determined that traffic calming devices on Arrowwood Way should be installed due to the straight nature and length of the roadway. The condition states that the traffic calming devices are to be used on Arrowwood Way and must be approved by District staff; this condition stands. The existing chicane on Arrowwood Way can be removed; however, it must be replaced by another form of traffic calming device approved by ACHD. Any changes to the roadway, including the reconstruction of the road, installation of other traffic calming devices, sighage, striping, and removal of the existing chicane would be the applicant's sole responsibility. The applicant would need to submit construction drawings for the improvements to be reviewed and approved by ACHD prior to making any modification to Arrowwood Way. Please let me know if you have any questions.
