We are requesting a limited amount of time to live at our property. We are only requesting until road construction on our street is completed and normal business can resume. Over the past 4 years of a down economy, it has put us in financial distress. We have sold everything we own, except our business property. We currently have unrented commercial space. With the impending road construction, it is undesirable. We have had multiple inquiries, but with the property nearly inaccessible during road construction, businesses go elsewhere. We have had no complaints from any of the surrounding property owners. Below is the letter sent to the Planning and Zoning Dept. Thank you for your consideration. Joe and Palmer ~- \~ 26-2012 To Whom It May Concern: This is an explanation of our current circumstances and request for consideration a variance to property at 1524 N Meridian Rd. We have lived and worked at this properly for 24 years. We have had a home located at the front of property for over 15 years. Over a year ago, we sold our home on W 1st Street and moved into our office space at the back of our furniture store. We already had a bathroom and kitchen/break room area. It has been our private office space for a number of years. Since the downturn in the economy, we have been trying to survive financially and hang onto our commercial property. We are self-employed and have no other retirement. We have sold everything we have and are trying to pay off as much debt as we can. We hope to keep our business afloat with the impending road construction that will have a very negative effect on our business until its completion. i • The private office area is approximately 600 SF. It is located on the back section of the building. Thank you for your consideration.
