12-15-2011 MemoDecember 15, 2011 MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Bill Parsons, Associate City Planner CC: Bill Nary, Jaycee Holman, Pete Friedman, Machelle Hill; Jacy Jones; Perry Palmer; Project File RE: Chesterfield Subdivision (RZ-11-004 and PP-11-007) Facts, Findings and Conclusions of Law for the December 20, 2011 City Council Consent Agenda Honorable Mayor and City Council Members, On December 6, 2011, the City Council approved the Chesterfield Subdivision. The Council's motion included adding a DA provision to address a secondary access point for the proposed subdivision. Staff and the Deputy Fire Chief have coordinated on an appropriate DA provision to address the Council's concern. The new DA provision that will be incorporated into the recorded development agreement will read as follows: "Prior to the submittal of a final plat, the applicant shall coordinate and obtain approval from the Meridian Fire Department for secondary emergency access. The secondary access shall be constructed as set forth in Appendix D of the International Fire Code and modified by Ordinance No. 08-1357." As a courtesy to the applicant, Staff has informed the applicant of the new DA provision. Pursuant to our conversations, the applicant is in agreement with the new DA provision.
