A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING A COMMISSIONER TO THE MERIDIAN TRAFFIC
SAFETY COMMISSION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a citizen seat on the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission is vacant; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Ryan
Lancaster to be in the best interest of the Meridian Traffic Safety. Commission and of the City of
Meridian;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-3-2(B), Ryan Lancaster is hereby
appointed to the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission, for a term to expire on June 9, 2013; and
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 13th day of
September, 201 1.

I am honored to be considered for the vacancy on the Traffic Safety Commission. I look
forward to bringing my experience and abilities to the Commission.
I am a resident of Meridian, and live within the northeast Meridian area speci#ied in the
Commission advertisement. By profession, I am a Civil/Traffic engineer and look
forward to sharing my professional skills and experience on a voluntary basis with the
City as part of the Traffic Safety Commission. I have professional relationships with
many people at ACRD .that may facilitate the effectiveness of the Commission.
I look forward to interacting with other citizens on the Commission to ensure the safe and
efficient movement of vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians through the city.
