CITY QF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. ~ 0 V~
BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN APPOINTING LESLIE MAULDIN TO SEAT 5 OF THE MERIDIAN ARTS
COMMISSION, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Seat 5 on the Meridian Arts Commission is vacant; and
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(A)(2) provides that members of the Arts
Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council on a majority vote;
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(D) states that vacancies shall be filled in the same
manner as original appointments and the appointee shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired
term; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Leslie
Mauldin to be in the best interest of the Meridian Arts Commission and of the City of Meridian;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Leslie Mauldin is hereby appointed to the Meridian Arts Commission, for a
term to expire on February 26, 2013; and
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 13th day of September,
2011.
