The second parcel is vacant and was part of an old PUD that listed the uses as Retail. We are making the request for commercial designations to make both parcels more harmonious with surrounding uses. To the north are retail strip and then the theaters, to the East is professional/medical and retail. To the NE is a drive thru and additional retail including restaurants. The corner parcel sits on the SW corner of Overland rd. and Millennium which is the primary access to Mountain View high school. Our proposal would be to use the hard corner for a drive thru establishment with a small retail strip center directly behind. Directly to the SW of this parcel is high density Residential (apartments) which we would buffer with landscaping and a driveway service ally. In all the proposed changes will make these parcels consistent with the way in which the whole property has developed.
