PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
EREAS the Meridian Cit Code Title 2, Chapter 3 established the Meridian Traffic

Safet Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and

HEREAS John Gonzales currently holds the Meridian Police Department seat on the

Meridian Traffic Safety Commission with a term to expire May, 2011; and
WHEREAS the Cit Council of the City of Meridian deems the re-appointment of John

to the Meridian Police De artment seat of the Traffic Safety Commission to be in the best
Gonzales P
interest of the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission and of the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That ursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-3-3, John Gonzales is hereby

ointed to the Meridian Police Department seat of the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission, for a

term to expires April 30, 2014.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption
and approval.
