Watertower Ln Suite 202 Meridian, ID 83642 208 884 5533 Attention: David Mckinnon Brad & Patricia Perkins 3 30 E. 3'~ Street Meridian, tD 83642 208 288 1844 Cell 84 13492 I am writing-this letter' to reguest approval for our application frocr~ the- Planning and Zoning Department to operate a small business in Meridian. My wife, Patty and I recently purchased a home here in Meridian with the hopes of becoming part of this community, raising our four children, opening a business, and growing with this unique City. We both love the family values Meridian representx. Even while in the midst of what seems to be a substantial growth trend the City is still able to maintain a small town friendliness and caring. Patty and I along with our children have been very pleased with the schools here and the convience pertaining to shopping and recreation. It is our hopes that we will be able to participate by bringing our skills to the community. Patty holds her Idaho State license as a Cosmetoligist and I my Barber license along with my State Barber Instructor's license. We both love what we do and are eager to start. We have squired a 658 sq. ft. shop at 9 I 0 E. First Street. We have the equipment to offer a small and intimate two person shop with hair cutting done in the front section and perms/colors in the back section. This shop was previously a retail business and fortunately meets our needs while compling with the State Bureau of Occupation Licenses guidelines. The only build out necessary will be the replacement of the exsisting I 0 gallon water heater with a 40 gallon size and the installation of two sinks, which Meridian Plumbing and Water has provided a bid. Signs Etc. will be providing a sign to fill the space left from the previous retail business. It is our sincere desire to become of service to this communtity and we are looking forward to opening our doors. Thank you!
