Certificate of Occupancy. A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy may be obtained by providing
surety to the City in the form of a Letter of Credit or cash in the amount of 110% of the cost of the
remaining improvements (including landscaping, and/or irrigation). A bid must accompany any
request for Temporary Occupancy.
Plan Modifications: The approved Site Plan and Landscape Plan are not to be altered without prior
written approval of the Planning & Zoning Department. No field changes to the site or landscape
plans are permitted; prior written approval of all material changes is required.
The Site Plan & Landscape Plan stamped 07/23/01 is approved with the comments noted above.

Meridian High School Cafeteria / Classroom Addition
Ms. Stiles:
Meridian Joint School District No. 2 is requesting a Certificate of Zoning Compliance for a
cafeteria / classroom addition at existing cafeteria facility at Meridian High School. The existing
building is 10,293 sq.ft. The proposed addition will be 10,928 sq.ft.
The serving and eating/social area in the cafeteria is increased which will allow seating for 700
students. Two new classrooms for Art / Pottery will be added, along with storage and office
areas for the classrooms and a restroom facility to accommodate the addition. The construction
is of block painted to match existing and 6" interior stud walls.
On the exterior there will be translucent non-combustible canopies located over pedestrian
walkways at the main entrances to the cafeteria / classrooms. Several non -transplantable trees
will be removed due to construction requirements, but new shrubbery, trees and sod will be
planted in 4 new landscaped areas.
An approval from ACHD is not required because there is no work in their right of ways.
Per our discussion with you a calculations table outlining parking, buildings, etc. is not included.
