BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING M. BLAINE TEWELL, JR. TO THE VACANT SEAT OF
THE MERIDIAN TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 3 established the Meridian Traffic
Safety Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS, there is a currently vacant seat on the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of M.
Blaine Tewell, Jr. to the vacant seat of the Traffic Safety Commission to be in the best interest of
the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission and of the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-3-3, M. Blaine Tewell, Jr. is
hereby appointed to the vacant seat of the Meridian Traffic Safety Commission, for a term to
expires in January 2014.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval. ~~ `~
