Planning and Zoning Commissioners,
On behalf of Ten Mile Christian Church, I am responding to the hearing notice for Silver Oaks
Apartments, January 6, 2011. We view this development as compatible with our church property
in this community.. From phone discussion with a representative of Silver Oaks Apartments, our
understanding is that the number of units of this development is being increased from prior
approved plans. It is further our understanding that the number of bedrooms in each unit will vary
and that some units will range from one to three-story in height.
The one assurance we would like is that the street named Umbria will be finished. Umbria forms
a portion of the boundary between Ten Mile Christian Church and this proposed development.
Umbria will serve as the entrance to these apartments. Ten Mile Christian Church was required
by Ada County Highway District (ACHD) to pave half. of the road in order to occupy our property.
We believe that same requirement should be expected of the Silver Oaks Apartment
development so that street is totally completed to ACHD standards.
We anticipate a fine working relationship with this development in the years ahead. We believe
our campus will be an asset to the eventual residents of this development. Our mission is to
compatibly serve our neighborhood, city and community.
Sincerely,
Steve Moore
