WRITTEN NARRATIVE
JERICHO SUBDIVISION
Heron River Development, LLC, hereby applies for a second extension of time for the Jericho
Subdivision. The plat was originally approved by the Meridian City Council on August 21, 2007, and
had an expiration date of March 20, 2009. A time extension was granted by the Meridian City Council
after an appeal was filed regarding the Planning Director's denial of a request for time extension. The
current deadline for obtaining the signature of the Meridian City Engineer is November 26, 2010. The
housing market has not improved, and ample inventory of housing and lots are currently available. For
this reason, we are requesting a time extension of 24 months, to November 26, 2012, to obtain the
signature of the Meridian City Engineer.
Jericho contains 68 single-family residential lots, ten common lots, and two private driveway lots on 9.52
acres. This property, zoned R-8 and R-15, is located 1/4 mile west of N. Locust Grove Road and 1/8 mile
south of E. Chinden Boulevard, adjoins Westborough Subdivision on the east, Arcadia Subdivision on the
south, and Hightower Subdivision on the north.
The project was annexed under Ordinance 07-1314A. No development agreement was required for this
project.

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11-SA-SD, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
