BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING ASHLEY BROWN TO THE HISTORICAL
PRESERVATION COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 1 establishes the Historical
Preservation Commission, its members and terms of their appointments;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique
perspective and input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to historical
preservation within the City, and to that end Meridian City Code § 2-1-3(B) states that a youth
member maybe appointed to the Historical Preservation Commission;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Ashley
Brown to the Historical Preservation Commission to be in the best interest of the Historical
Preservation Commission and the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-1-3(B), Ashley Brown is hereby
appointed to the Historical Preservation Commission, for a term to expire on August 31, 2011.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
