RE: Harcourt Subdivision
24 month time extension
Application: TE 10-027
Meridian City Council,
This letter is submitted for your review as we are not able to attend the Public Hearing on November 3,
2010.
This proposed subdivision boarders on our west property line for approximately 600 feet. With respect to
the specific request fora 24 month time extension of the proposed subdivision we have no objection to the
project itself.
The only condition for approval that we request is that Great Sky, Inc. be required to bring the adjacent
property (3595 E. Victory Road) in compliance with current R-4 caning regulations with respect to
accessory use "outside storage facility". Outside storage of construction equipment for the past 3 '/z years
does not seem compatible with a residential neighborhood and to allow another 24 months seems
unreasonable. It is hard to imagine the City of Meridian would grant the necessary Accessory Use Permit
(City Code 11-2A-2) for long term outside storage of construction equipment in a residential neighborhood.
Big Sky, Inc. for the last 3 'h years (March 2007) have not constructed this project and with the current
economy, it does not seem reasonable to think they will construct within the next 2 years. It is our
understanding that it will take JUB at least a year to get Final Plat approval after they get Owner permission
to start design.
We would prefer Big Sky bring the construction equipment back to the site when they get Final Plat
Approval and take out a construction permit to build.
Please help clean-up the neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Margaret Starn & family. ,,~,~ ~--- ~~
