State Trust Lands are not public lands or "opEn space". These are working lands producing revenue. The mission of the Department of Lands is a constitutional mandate and is overseen by the State Board of Land Commissioners. Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) has reviewed the application materials dated September 27, 2010 provided by the City of Meridian, for the Meridian Police Department rezone. Based on the documentation provided to IDL, the development will not impact State Trust Lands. Should the application be modified during the review or approval process, IDL requests that updated information be submitted to the Southwest Area Manager for additional review.
