Please accept this time extension. application for Harcourt Subdivision. The original project
included 60 fats on 21.7 acres and was located on the south side of Victory Road approximately 550
feet east of Eagle Road. The Meridian City Council approved the annexation and preliminary plat
on March 27, 2007,: and the staff approved an eighteen-month tune extension on March 17, 2009.
The time extension approval expires on September 27, 2010.
Since the original approval, the project has been reduced in size by approximately five acres and
13 lots due to the sale of one the four original parcels contained within the preliminary plat. This-
change has obviously made the project smaller, but the original layout has not changed, we have
simply eliminated the 13 lots originally approved for the south side of Falcon Drive.. The new
project boundary now lies entirely on the north side. of Falcon Drive and contains approximately
16.96 acres and. 48 buildable lots..
The landowner has been- reluctant to build the project given the economic situation and the large
number of available lots within Meridian. In addition, it has been almost impossible to obtain
financing.. for construction of any sort... However,. there has been a renewed interested in the larger
tots proposed in this project (10,:000 sf to 13,000. sf), and. my client is pursuing private financing
options to design and build a first phase..
Accordingly,.: we are requesting an eighteen (18) month time extension as allowed Section 11-66-7C
of the Meridian City Code.

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11-SA-SD, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted. Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued.
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3) days after the end of the public hearing for
