A RESOLIITION AIITHORIZING THE ACCEPTAATCE OF A GRANT OF MONEY FOR
CONSTRIICTION OF CE&TAIN WATER LINES AND INSTALLATION, TETHER
WITH CERTAIN SEWAGE LINES AND INSTALLATIONS FOR THE HEALTH AND
WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS AND BIISINESSES WITHIN THE CITY OF MERIDIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AVID CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COIINTY, IDAHO:
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian has been granted certain funds
from the II.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development
Administration, and
WHEREAS, these funds are necessary and needed by the City of
Meridian to improve the quality of the services of ureter delivery ,
and sewage treatment for the City of Meridian, and
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Meridian have passed a
bond issue in the amount of Two Million Three Hundred Twenty-FYve
Thousand Dollars ($2,325,000.00) to guarantee the municipal share
of matching funds, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor is designated as the official representative
of the City of Meridian.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TAE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COIINTY, IDAHO: that the City accept the
Grant offer of the Economic Development Administration in the amount
of $1,445,000.00 representing oae-half of a total project-cost of
X2,890,000.00 involved in enlarging, laying and improving of the
water and sewage facilities of the City of Meridian.
ADOPTID by the Council of the City of Meridian this 12th Day
of May, 1975.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Meridian, this 12th Day
of May, 1975.
