1973-054 Adopting Preliminary Water/Sewer19 ~ffi~L~oI~ No, ~_ A RESOLIITION CONCERNING THE SEt+1ER AND HATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN. WHEREAS, the City of Meridian, Idaho, is in need of sewage system and water system improvements; and WHEREAS, public meetings and hearings have been held in Meridian and no opposition or unresolved concerns were expressed concerning the "Preliminary Report- Rural Community Sewer and Water Plan for Ada County - Meridian" prepared for the Ada Council of Governments by the consultant, "Cornell, Howland, Hayes and Merryfield--Hill"; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sewer and water plans as defined in the "Preliminary Report- Rural Community Sewer and Water Plan for Ada County - Meridian" is hereby adopted as the Sewer and Water Plan for Meridian, and THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sewage treatment for Meridian will be economically efficient; environmentally beneficial; in compliance with Idaho and Federal regulations; and consisting of either secondary treatment with discharge to the Boise River, advanced treatment with discharge to Five Mile Creek or spray disposal following treatment, depending on the economic, engineering, financial, environmental and legal constraints defined in the pre- engineering studies necessary before construction or financing, ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Meridian, this 5th day of November, 1973.
