RESOLUTION N0. 49
A RESOLIITION AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS
AND WATE12 AND SEWER LINES OVER CERTAIN CITY PROPERTIES TO THE WESTERN ADA
RECREATION DISTRICT, AND AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF A LEASE TO CERTAIN OTHER
CITY PROPERTIES TO THE WESTERN ADA RECREATION DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COIINTY, IDAHO:
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, has determined that
there is a severe shortage of municipal recreation facilities for the residents
of said City, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to improve the recreation facilities and environ-
mental quality of the City and surrounding area,
WHEREAS, the Western, Ada Recreation District is a polictical subdivision
of the State of Idaho, including within its boundaries the City of Meridian
and ad3acent territories, and is now planning to construct a swimming pool and
other recreational facilities within the limits, of the City of Meridian, and
WHEREAS, the proposed location of such swimming pool will require an
easement for ingress and egress and for water and sewer lines over property
owned by the City, and a long-term lease of a small portion of property owned
by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho,
that Don M. Storey, Mayor and Herald Cox, City Clerk, be empowered to execute a
Grant of Easement to said District, a copy of which is attached hereto and
marked Exhibit nln, and further empowered ti execute a Lease with said District,
a copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit n2n, and further empowered
to execute a easement for a water main and a sewer line, a copy of which is
attached hereto and marked Exhibit "3n.
ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Meridian, this 12th day of June, 1972.
