A. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF !~N ESTIMATE OF EXPEIVS.ES FOR ALL PURPOSES
FOR THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING THE 1st
DAY OF JANUARY, 1967, AND ENDING THE 31st DAY OF DECEMBER, 1967, AND GIVING NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING PRIOR TO PASSAGE OF THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That the following classified estimate of the probable amount
of money necessary to be raised for all purposes in the City of Meridian, Ada County,
Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning the 1st day of January, 1967, and ending the
31st day of December, 1967, be published in the Meridian News-Times, a weekly news-
paper published in the City of Meridian, for two publications beginning with the
issue of March 9th, 1967 , and the Notice of Public Hearing on said estimate and
probable levy required to raise said sum be published therewith.
Section 2. That a statement of the entire revenue of the City of Meridian
for the previous fiscal year is as follows~-

Sundry Sources 61,008.90
Water Works. 32,940.71
Total .$ 141,665.02
Section 3. That the probable amount necessary for all purposes for the
City of Meridian for the said fiscal year ending December 31, 1967, is as follows:.-
Waterworks Capitol Improvement. $ 15,000.00
Salaries 44,018.00
Miscellaneous & Reserve. 21,000.00
Water 4~lorks Maintenance. 5000.00
Power & Pumping. 1,850.00
Sewer Maintenance. 12000.00
City Park. 2,000.00
Street Maintenance 18,892.00
Street Lights. 6,815.00
Street Oiling. 7,325.00
Fire Department. 3,950.00
Library. . 2, 860.00
Recreation 4,290.00
Total .$ 145,000.00
Section 4. That the assessed valuation of the said City of Meridian for
the year 1967 is approximately the sum of $1,588,391.00
Section 5. Notice is hereby given that the estimated expenses and
appropriations therefor as herein set forth will require a levy for general reserve.
and municipal purposes for the City of Meridian of not to exceed 5 mills on the
dollar and in compliance with Section 50-1102 Idaho Code, the Mayor and the City
Council will hold a public hearing on March 20th , 1867 at 8:00 P.M., at which
time any person interested may appear and protest such proposed estimate and levy
prior to passage of an annual appropriation bill.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, this 6th day of March , 1967.
