This letter is written in response to your letter dated July 12, 1996, regarding
septic tank approval. I apologize for not being aware of this expiration date as I
should have applied for an extension.
We are in the final stages of the building being finished and we need to have the
permit extended until such time as we have the city sewer in place to service this
area. We have the completed sanitary sewer plan, all engineering and design
work and approval from both your City and DEQ.
The reason we have not started the work is that we do not have the easement
through the Elixir properties. We are presently working with them and we expect
to have the easement issue resolved by this fall.
Additionally, we had applied for the septic permit from Central Dist. (Health and
Tom Schmalz had asked us for a letter with regards to the old water line that is
Albertsons. We are providing him with the information he has requested.

This letter will acknowledge the letter from Ronald Van Auker authorizing Micron Technology to obtain a
letter of zoning compliance for the above-referenced property for the uses described in your letter of
October 22, 1998. The property is located in an I-L zone within the Commerce Park Subdivision in
Meridian, Idaho It is my understanding that Micron is purchasing the subject property based on receipt of
this letter acknowledging compliance.
The shell for the building received a final building permit on 2/22/96. The remaining improvements were
issued a building permit on 6/6/96. Temporary septic service was approved at that time. Construction of
municipal sewer service is anticipated to serve the site, hopefully within the next six months, at which time
Crucial Technology would be required to hook up and pay any associated fees. Although actual square
footages of the various uses were not provided, existing parking spaces appear to meet the minimum
requirements of the Zoning and Development and Subdivision and Development Ordinances.
'The building permit(s) were issued by the City of Meridian for construction of a single building straddling
two lots, both of which are considered legal lots by the City of Meridian. If the existing building were
damaged or destroyed, new construction would be permitted on the two lots. One item that apparently was
not addressed during the initial building permit process was the vacation of an existing 20' easement that
was centered over the lot lines. Vacation of this easement should be accomplished to make sure any utility
companies with utilities that may exist in the easement relinquish their easement rights.
A Certificate of Occupancy will be required prior to actual occupancy of the building. This Certificate will
include the signatures of the Building Inspector, Fire Marshal, and P&Z Department of the City of
Meridian. Obtaining the Certificate in this case is primarily a formality and should not take more than a
day or two after a request has been made of the Building Department.
