09-700 Appoint Aubrey Skye to Arts CommCITY OF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~ - ~ ~ ~
BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING AUBREY SKYE GRANT TO SEAT 7 OF THE ARTS
COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 5 establishes the Arts Commission, its
members and terms of their appointments;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique
perspective and input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to arts within the
City, and to that end Meridian City Code § 2-5-3 states that a youth member may be appointed to
the Parks Arts Commission;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Aubrey
Skye Grant to Seat 7 of the Arts Commission to be in the best interest of the Arts Commission
and of the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(B), Aubrey Skye Grant is
hereby appointed to Seat 7 of the Arts Commission, for a term to expire on August 31, 2010.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this ~ ~ day of
