Youth Programs
The after school program is on going, and will continue until May 30th. We are currently averaging about 15 students a day. Daily activities this month include; a weekly art program
with a local artist, cooking, outdoor sports and games, and a bowling field trip.
We will be evaluating the success of this program this spring.
Winter Recreation Classes
In the Winter Activity Guide, we added seven brand new classes; Spanish II, Spanish for Tots, Belly Dancing for Fun and Fitness, Do-it-yourself Plumbing Repairs, Winter Survival, Women’s
Snowshoe Hike, and Conversational English.
We offered 34 different classes, some with multiple session offerings. All of our classes have good enrollment numbers and our most popular classes are: Ballroom Dance, Belly Dance,
Plumbing, Scrapbooking, and Snowshoeing.
Currently most of our classes are being held at Meridian Middle School. We have hopes of having our own space in the future.
Summer Youth Programs
Department Organized Camps:
This summer we will be continuing with our staff led summer long camps: Camp Mer-IDA-Moo, a traditional day camp; Outdoor Adventure Camp, Sports Camps, and Art Camp.

Outdoor Adventure Camp spends most of it’s days out and about doing adventurous activities, but will meet each morning at Storey Park.
This year Sports Camps will be held at Chateau Park
