Idaho Avenue) Located in the Townsite of Meridian Subdivision To Whom It May Concern: This letter is provided as a narrative letter for the Design Review and Certificate of Zoning Compliance submittal for the project listed above. The proposed project is a remodel of the front facade of the building. This historic building will retain its architectural character and a new aluminum storefront, fabric awnings, and canopy will accent the front entry from Idaho Street. Architectural Character: A) Facade: The front facade of the building is being remodeled to accommodate for additional entrances into the building. The front of the building will retain the brick parapet wall with decorative parapet elements along the entire face'of the front elevation. B) Primary Public Entrances: The front entrance of the building is marked with a domed canopy awning over the main entrance., An additional entrance for the second floor is covered with a traditional awning. C) Roof Lines: The building has a flat roof with a parapet that varies in height. It also has two (2) sets of cornices with the decorative old town brick. D) Pattern Variations: A mixture of the brick facade with the aluminum storefront, glazing, and fabric awnings provide a variation in the color, texture, and materials. E) Mechanical Equipment: All mechanical equipment on the roof and ground level. is screened from view along Idaho Street. Color and Materials: The exterior materials used on this building will be that of high-quality.
