Meridian and the laws of the State of Idaho, that Kristi Hansen has filed with the
Zoning Administrator of the City of Meridian an application for a Waiver from the
Fence Ordinance regarding his/her property located at 5186 West Crossridge
Street Meridian, Idaho. The Applicant proposes a (10) ten foot setback from
property line along North Willowside Way.
Comments, either for or against, said application must be filed with the
Zoning Administrator within fifteen (15} days after the initial publication of this

NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to 12-4-10 of the revised and
compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian, that the Planning Director of the
City of Meridian will hold a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho
Street, Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of 4:00 P.M., on October 4, 2004, for the
purpose of reviewing and considering the application of Kristi Hansen for a
waiver from the Meridian Fence Ordinance at the property legally described as
follows: Lot 6, Block 7 of Trivia's Subdivision No. 3 and known by the address of
5986 West Crossridge Street. The Applicant proposes a reduction of the
required distance from 20 feet to 10 feet.
The public is welcome. The Applicant is required to attend. Testimony,
objections, and comments will be heard and considered by the Director.
A written decision of the Director will be issued to the Applicant, and any
person requesting in writing a copy of the decision will be furnished one.
Any aggrieved party may appeal the decision of the Director to the
Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission pursuant to Section 11-1-11 A.

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in regards to the proposed fence placement at 5186 West Crossridge Street.
We are writing a letter against the placement of the fence. We have several concerns
regarding this issue. The first issue is that if the fence is placed it will drastically
decrease the curb appeal of our property, therefore decreasing our property value. The
second issue is that it dramatically decreases the view not only from our house, but it also
decreases visibility around the corner. We have several small children that ride their
bikes on ow street and if visibility is decreased, not only from our side of the street but
also from the corner, our children are put at greater risTc ofbemg hit by scar. - We believe
that the regulations for the fences were put in place not only for the overall look of the
neighborhood but also for safety reasons.
We would be willing to let them place a half fence, meaning three feet tall. This will help
keep the visibility to the corner for our children and oncoming traffic, and still allow us to
see out of the front of our house.
We appreciate you looking into our concerns and letting us know the outcome.
