Two of the four members of the Meridian City Fence Variance
Committee met in the presence of your representative, Mr. Ralph
Shoemaker, on July 15, 1991 at 4:30 P. M. at Meridian City Hall.
This meeting was held pursuant to the Notice of Public Hearing
for this variance request dated June 24, 1991. The two absent
members of the committee were contacted by telephone the
following day for their comments to your request.
-Ihe Committee has agreed to accept your proposal to construct a
fence 6 feet from the back of existing sidewalk with the
provision that it not exceed 6 feet in height. The Committee
also requests that the proposed 90 degree fence corners be built
at 45 degrees with 5 foot legs parallel and perpendicular to E.
1st Street.
the fence will need to have its "good" side facing E. 1st St. and
the space between the fence and sidewalk will need to be
landscaped and maintained. Please be advised to call Uig-line at
342-185 for location of any underground utilities prior to
digging post holes.
If you have any questions please call.
